Carolyn holds dual leadership as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). In her capacity as CFO, Carolyn oversees the firm’s finance and accounting function, including strategic financial planning and analysis, accounting operations, financial reporting, budget development, merger and acquisition financial due diligence, treasury management, tax compliance, and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting. As COO, Carolyn focuses on improving processes, enhancing efficiencies, and coordinating between departments to support the firm's growth and success. Carolyn is a member of the firm’s Executive and Risk Management Committees. Carolyn cofounded and is actively involved in the Kovitz Cares Foundation, currently serving as its President.

Prior to joining Kovitz, Carolyn worked in the assurance services function of Deloitte & Touche, LLP, serving as Audit Manager to a variety of public and private clients. Carolyn received her Master in Professional Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Carolyn is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the states of Illinois and Texas and belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. She is also a member of the Anti-Defamation League's Midwest Regional Board, The CFO Leadership Council, and Chief, a leadership organization for senior executive women.
