Kate Jonynas is a Principal and Senior Financial Advisor at Kovitz, where she has dedicated her career to guiding clients through every aspect of their financial plan – from opportunities surrounding their unique circumstances, life transitions, and lifelong goals, Kate is an advocate for her clients. Recognizing that the success of a long-term plan is predicated on thoughtful implementation, she collaborates with clients’ outside professionals including attorneys and accountants.
Kate’s passion for financial planning extends to educating her clients and future generations on the complexities of inherited wealth. She primarily works with business owners, corporate executives, physicians, attorneys, and retirees. In addition, Kate also works with the firm’s Family Office Services division, a dedicated team that supports the unique financial needs of high-net-worth families.
Kate brings with her over 10 years of experience and is a member of the Financial Planning Association; the Professional Women’s Club of Chicago; the Chicago Estate Planning Council; and the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Foundation Legacy Partners. Internally, Kate serves on the Kovitz’ Risk Management and Marketing Committees. She considers herself a lifelong learner and is committed to being an industry leader.
Kate earned her Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree in Economics with a Minor in Management from DePaul University, graduating cum laude. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and is licensed with FINRA under Series 7 and 66. In her spare time, you will find her spending time with family, traveling, or practicing yoga.
