As Accounting Manager, Makenzie works with the Chief Financial Officer and Controller to support the accounting and finance needs of the firm. Prior to joining Kovitz, Makenzie worked in the audit and assurance services function of Deloitte & Touche, LLP, serving as Audit Manager to a variety of public and private clients.
Makenzie received her Master in Accounting from George Mason University and Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Richmond. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of Illinois and belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Outside of work Makenzie enjoys travelling abroad, going to concerts, and interior design.
